Formed December 08, 2023, The Block & Chain Designs specializes in laser engraving and chainmail gifts. Below is the founder's story of how we came to be.

 

As a young boy, my father was always doing woodworking of some type. I still remember the smells of the sawdust and sounds of his machines. It always amazed me how the puzzle-like pieces of his intarsia work came together to form beautiful art. I never considered myself much of an artist and took a different path in life.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I was very interested in home computing and electronics. I joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and worked on avionics systems. Since that time, I have enjoyed a career working on medical devices, both from repair and IT integration standpoints. However, I found time to enjoy various hobbies, including making chain mail and learning computer art and vector graphics.
